Computer Engineering
Computer Engineering Technical Electives
The curriculum in Computer Engineering requires six
hours of technical electives. Three hours may be at the 300-level;
the other three hours must be at the 400-level or above. These
technical elective hours are expected to show some concentration
in a particular area, e.g., computer design, electronics,
computer programming, etc.
All ECE courses at the 400-level and above are generally
acceptable. Courses at the 300-level and above may be taken
from Physics, Mathematics, Business Administration, a straight
EE course (e.g., ECE 360), or another
department in the School
of Engineering with approval of the Associate Chair
for Computer Engineering, Dr. Don Neaman.
(Note: Allowable courses in Business Administration
are very restricted.)
You may ensure that your electives are approved by submitting
the form Application for an Undergraduate Degree in the College
of Engineering before the 100th hour toward your degree, as
required, and to have it signed by the Associate Chair for
Computer Engineering, Dr. Don Neaman.
